We have had a great first year sharing and selling our produce. It's been hard work and continues to be hard work, but it has been rewarding as well. Thanks to everyone who bought from us, spread the word, and came to our markets, we couldn't do it without you!
The summer finally turned hot and we don't have a lot producing right now. Our succession planting happened a few weeks later than it should have and it has left us with a slow last month.
We have some fun things on the horizon though......

Burgundy okra....... and peas. You can see the pea plants right next to the okra. They look so tiny.
Two seventy foot rows of pumpkins! That is going to be a pumpkin patch! We also have one seventy foot row of decorative gourds. Fall should be fun!
Here is what they looked like a few weeks ago.........

I think we will have pumpkins by October if they keep growing like this!
We also have some fall squash planted. They should be making squash in two weeks, if not sooner.
We have some friends(clients of Glenn's) who start their own seeds and sell the transplants. We have orders in for Kale, red cabbage, and several different types of lettuce.Should be getting them in the next week or so and planting them as soon as it is cool enough. Can't wait to be eating those! Yum!
Our chickens got a new Casa. We decided it would be better to have them in their own little barn instead of laying eggs in random places in ours. They love their new nesting boxes and it sure is nice to not have to hunt all over for eggs.Their barn opens up into a fenced area that has lots of weeds and bugs. Our next step is dividing the fenced in area so we have them rotating on fresh grass at all times.

We are looking forward to the fall season and will let everyone know as we have more things that are ready to eat.
