We had our first Farmer's market, this past Saturday, at the Vineyard in Florence. It was a lot of fun, the other vendors were friendly and the people from The Vineyard were super nice and had everything well organized. My mom from Heavenly Bounty joined me. She has some amazing vinaigrette dressing that she makes that made our mixed green samples really tasty!
This farmer's market is every two weeks so if you didn't make it by come out on the 10th. As we get closer to the date I will post what we will be bringing. We have a lot of things growing! Here are a few things growing......
So far the Swiss Chard has handled the warmer days well so hopefully it will hang in there a little longer. It has been beautiful, hardy, and delicious!
Our red Lettuce has been huge and healthy too, but it's staring to bolt with the warmer days, so I don't think we will have it much longer.
We have red and white potatoes and they are starting to bloom! Yay we will have new potatoes soon!
We are also getting tiny bell peppers. We planted red, orange, yellow, purple, and green. So I can't wait to see what colors we end up with.
Lastly, I am going to leave you with a couple of pictures of the garden and things to come. Contact me if you are interested in anything we have or if you have requests for things we don't. Also, click on Heavenly Bounty above to check out my mom's site. She has lots of things that we don't. Between the two of us we might just have what you need.
